"My third place in the Flèche Brabançonne on Wednesday was the perfect start to my Ardennes classics campaign. I feel good and I'm very motivated for the three upcoming races. I still need a big result this season and I'm really looking forward to it now. This is a time of the season that I like. I am in good shape and I want to continue to prove it. I changed my program this season and I enjoyed the experience of the Flandriennes. They are different races with a different approach in every way. I felt that I had to improve in terms of placement or on the cobblestones but my sixteenth place at the Ronde is a satisfaction. I closed this enriching parenthesis and I change register with the Ardennes. I have a little revenge to take on the Amstel Gold Race after my second place in 2022. It's an open race, long but not very difficult. I hope to be able to win again but with a better outcome than last year. As always, I will approach the Flèche Wallonne with envy. It is the most beautiful race of the season for the puncheurs, a "lactic contest" and a real confrontation where you know that the strongest one wins. You have to give it your all in a very short period of time. Liège-Bastogne-Liège is more complicated because of its length and altitude difference. It can be as much for a climber as for a puncheur.
