Bretagne Classic (September 1st)

TONY GALLOPIN : “A special affection for this race”

“I like to come and race this event. This will be my 8th participation after twelve seasons among professionals. Of course it has to be said that though
I love this race, I’ve never really been that successful here. I am coming off the Tour du Poitou – Charentes in good form (2nd overall). I would have liked tohave won the time trial, but there was one guy stronger than me. We will have a strong team in Plouay with Oliver Naesen, who is the defending champion, and Benoît Cosnefroy, who has recently proved that he is in great shape too. After Plouay, I will follow up with the Tour of Britain, which will be good preparation for my end of season goals.”

Top team of the Tour du Poitou-Charentes

With Tony Gallopin (2nd), Alexis Gougeard (6th) and Julien Duval (41st), we won the overall team classification of the Tour du Poitou-Charentes.

Seventeenth at the end of the 7th stage of the Vuelta, Pierre Latour is now 11th overall 3'55 '' down on first place:
"I did not have very good feelings today, but I did my maximum from the foot of the final climb, and I'm still pretty well placed in the general classification.
The team is united and motivated. Now it will be necessary to manage ourselves well during Sunday's stage in Andorra, which promises to be very difficult.”
