STAN DEWULF : “Impatient and motivated”
“I am excited to race for the first time wearing the colors of the AG2R CITROËN TEAM. Whenever you start racing for a new team, you feel this extra level of motivation and want to show your best qualities. La Clasica de Almeria is certainly a tough enough race to give you an idea where you are physically. The team is coming with ambitions. If the conditions are right, we’ll definitely hope to play for the win. It is important to take advantage of all opportunities, as we have already seen with Aurélien Paret-Peintre’s win at the GP de La Marseillaise. Regarding the Belgian classics, my goal is to be there to help Oliver Naesen and Greg Van Avermaet in the final of these important races. As for my personal ambitions, in my third professional year, I want to get a victory for myself along the way.”STAN DEWULF
La Clasica de Almeria is the first race of the season for Stan Dewulf, Anthony Jullien, Gijs Van Hoecke and Andrea Vendrame.
Tour de la Provence (stage 1) Lilian Calmejane best climber Clément Venturini fourth on the stage
Lilian Calmejane dons the jersey as the best climber at the end of the first stage. He also sits in 4th place in the general classification. "I didn't want to miss the breakaway. I did think there would be a few more riders, though. We managed. I had fun and took the climber's jersey on top of that too," he said. Clément Venturini finished in a strong 4th place for the stage. "This is my first day of racing, I sprinted on instinct. This result is a great satisfaction that gives the team a bit of positive push for the coming stages.”
