Aurélien Paret-Peintre: "Rather satisfactory for a recovery
"I haven't raced since Liège-Bastogne-Liège (April 25) and to finish second in a tough race like this is pretty satisfying. I just came back from a training course in altitude where we accumulated a lot of kilometers and altitude difference and we were able to recognize the course. Today we had a good team race and it's motivating for the future. However, on the last climb, Guillaume Martin went alone and I took second place. Now we're heading for the Critérium du Dauphiné on Saturday where I hope to be in better shape.

The news
One more day for Bouchard
Geoffrey Bouchard now has 136 points in the Giro d'Italia mountain classification. He led the way on the first pass of the day today. On Wednesday he will wear the blue jersey for the eighth consecutive day.
"We had apocalyptic conditions all day. I managed to get into the first breakaway with a lot of big names. I'm happy to have managed to take 40 more points. Now there is still a long way to go to Milan. The rest day comes at the right time but I'm going to hang in there."
