Paris-Tours (October 13th)

Tony Gallopin : “I dreamt of this race”

“This race passed by my house when I was a little kid, and I could go out to see the racers fly by. I remember well the victories of Jacky Durand and Richard Virenque. I dreamt of this race when it was part of the World Cup. I did not race it last year which was the first time they took some of the gravel paths through the vineyards. I will discover that part of the race this time, but it does not worry me. Everyone focuses on this area of the route, but the race can definitely be decided elsewhere. The course is harder than in previous years. Oliver proved recently that he is racing well, and personally I am still motivated. I think we can finish this season off very well.”TONY GALLOPIN

In his first participation at Paris-Tours last year, Benoît Cosnefroy took an excellent third place.
