Cyril Dessel: "United around Ben O'Connor
"We are approaching the Tour de Romandie with ambition, united around our leader Ben O'Connor who has shown us some great things since the beginning of the season.
Following on from his fourth place in the 2022 Tour de France, he is capable of racing with the best and this week will be used to continue to refine his condition and his automatisms in this role.
The Tour de Romandie has a particular configuration, a crossroads between the riders who will be at the Giro and those who are "at the end of their cycle" after the beginning of the season. It's a short event, with a prologue and a time trial that Ben was able to pull off last year.
He will be well supported by men like Geoffrey Bouchard, Larry Warbasse, Nans Peters or Bob Jungels, who are capable of accompanying him in the mountains.
We regret the injury to Clément Champoussin, who would have certainly been at ease."[/su_quote]
