"The finish took place in fog, and even though we'd come to scout the place on Thursday, we didn't have the same bearings at all. It was a blind sprint. Jesus Herrada launched and surprised everyone. Third isn't bad, but I'd have preferred to be two places higher up the ranking. I didn't have a good feeling at the start of the race but the final climb suited me well. I optimized. On this type of race, the aim is to win. This weekend, we're content with the places of honour."

Amstel Gold Race: Dorian Godon and Mikaël Chérel get a clean bill of health
Benoît Cosnefroy finished 21st in the Amstel Gold Race.
"I wasn't feeling well physically. I fell ill on Wednesday and despite all my hard work, it didn't go well at all. I'm worried about the Ardennaises," says Benoît Cosnefroy.
Dorian Godon, victim of a fall, is suffering from contusions and abrasions on his right hip and right knee.
The progress of his injuries will determine his participation in the Flèche Wallonne.
Mikaël Chérel, who also fell, suffered a haematoma to his left elbow and left shin.
After his victory in the Trofeo Laigueglia and his fourth place on Saturday in the Tour du Jura, third place in the Tour du Doubs is Nans Peters ' third top 5 finish since the start of the season.
