Aurelien Paret-Peintre : “A great team”
“We had a good day with Benoît (Cosnefroy) at the Polynormande. I did not have extraordinarily good sensations, but we were pleased with how it went, and I was happy to take 5th place (his third top five in 2019)! I hope that we will prolong this great momentum at the Tour du Limousin. The course is difficult, you are always on edge, and that often means the racing is very aggressive. We have a great team, and I think we will be able to win a stage or even the overall classification.”AURELIEN PARET-PEINTRE
Like Samuel Dumoulin, Hubert Dupont will end his career at the end of this season after fifteen years (including fourteen racing in the jersey of AG2R LA MONDIALE) among the professionals. Dupont, who comes from Lyon, will turn 39 on November 13th. He is the French co-record holder for the number of participations in Grand Tours (23, finishing 22 of them). He also finished twice in eleventh place at the Giro (2016, 2011), his favorite race. In 2016, he finished in third place at the Tour du Limousin: "It's a page that turns for me now, and I have had a great adventure. I will continue to do my job thoroughly until the end." His end-of-season program includes the Deutschland Tour (August 29 - September 1) and the Tour du Doubs (September 15).
The riders racing at the Vuelta a España will be available to the press before the teams' presentation on Thursday, August 22nd, from 19:15 to 20:30.
